The Leo Triplet, M65, M66 and NGC3628

The Leo Triplet (also known as the M66 Group) is a small group of galaxies about 35 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. This galaxy group consists of the spiral galaxies M65, M66, and NGC 3628 (source Wikipedia).

This LRGB image comprises 3hrs of Luminance 18 x 600s and 12 x 300s sub-frames each of Red, Green and Blue, 6 hrs total integration. Astrodon LRGB filters. Taken using a William Optics FLT132 at F5.6. The faint tidal tail of NGC3628 is just beginning to reveal itself and it would be great to capture more luminance frames over the coming weeks.
