IC1848 Soul Nebula

After many weeks of imaging Steve and I have completed our two panel mosaic of IC1848 from our shared remote rig at e-Eye. Variously also catalogued as Westerhout 5 or Sh 2-199 or LBN 667 and better known as the Soul Nebula becuase of the overall shape of the emission nebula is very evocative of a crawling little toddler.... We commenced gathering the data on the 19th November 2017 shortly after installation and finished just a couple of nights ago on the 11th January 2018 and it has been a refuge for data when the moon has been evident. This data has virtually processed itself and I have never collected so much, 42 hours in total. It is delightfully smooth, even if I say so myself.
